Host of the In View Series Boasts Numerous Iconic Moments during Legendary TV Career

In View Host Conducted Many Memorable Interviews

Larry King has a legendary broadcasting career that stretches back to humble beginnings in 1957. Over the years, King, who now hosts the In View series, has performed an estimated 60,000 interviews. His guests have ranged from politicos and corporate leaders to actors and musicians and anyone in between, particularly if they’re involved in a scandal. Because of his style, people who might not ordinarily consent to an interview were still willing to meet with King. In all of the decades of Larry King on TV, one of his most iconic interviews took place in 1994 when he met with notorious screen acting legend Marlon Brando at his home in Beverly Hills. King was known for going anywhere for an interview, which is one of the reasons he was favorable with typically shy figures like Brando.

Host has Demonstrated Adaptability

The interview itself was fairly unproductive. Brando seemed to avoid answering questions about his career and divert attention to his dog. King rolled with it, and the meeting between the two culminated in one of the most interesting moments in television history. As they were wrapping up the interview, Brando requested a peck on the lips and proceeded to kiss Larry King on TV. Perhaps most impressive was the way King handled the iconic moment, by happily agreeing. King has conducted many notable interviews in his extensive history, but none may be as renowned as his encounter with Brando. King’s ability to roll with the punches and adapt made him appealing to members of the In View Larry King producer team as they searched for an ideal host.
