In View Hosted by Larry King Reviews Technology's Impact on Society

Technology has had a profound effect on society. We currently live in the most connected era in history, as hundreds of millions of people around the world use internet-connected smartphones. These portable “mini-computers” keep people connected to their e-mail accounts practically anywhere they go. People can stay connected to the latest headlines from across the country and around the globe.  Information travels at blazingly fast speeds across the planet. Advances in internet technology have made the world smaller in a way, as we can communicate and share information with others instantaneously no matter their location. The In View series, an educational cable television series distributed across the United States, looks at various ways in which technology has helped businesses and shaped society for the better.

In View hosted by Larry King shows how companies, medical facilities, schools and groups have used technology to improve their services and products. Many hospitals and medical centers advertise the technology they offer to entice patients to come to their facilities for procedures like MRI’s and different types of surgeries. Technology also helps non-profit organizations and charities coordinate their relief efforts.  The TV program (http://www.inviewseries.com) also looks at applications of technology in education, from the elementary school level through college.
The television program explores applications of technology in many different industries across the economy. Companies can monitor the location of their vehicles and drivers, and redirect them as needed to accomplish their objectives and goals. The medical field has embraced technology to improve patient care, reduce redundancy and share information between medical providers.
