Mental Health Services Featured on the In View Series

With growing awareness promoting awareness about how often mental illness affects people in the United States and people feeling more comfortable seeking mental health treatment, the In View series hosted by Larry King has highlighted some of the organizations, facilities and companies to help individuals and their families overcome mental illnesses. The In View show has spotlighted leading companies and facilities across the nation, including Hanbleceya, a company which operates facilities in the San Diego area and the Seattle area. Some estimates say that as many as 1 in 4 American adults experiences symptoms of mental illness each year. A new study finds that psychiatric patients who received mental health treatment and medications after their release from hospital stays while up in jail or otherwise incarcerated far less often than those patients who did not receive treatment or medications.

The In View TV series has showed how mental health treatment can help patients lead healthy and productive lives. The In View series has looked at the positive difference that mental health services make in communities from coast-to-coast. By teaching patients to manage their symptoms and behaviors, these services have helped individuals dealing with all types of mental problems, including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and more.

In View hosted by Larry King will continue to show viewers across the United States have mental health professionals and mental health services help patients overcome their mental problems and help families handle the challenge of caring for loved ones with mental illness.

  1. It seems like society is slowly realizing that mental health issues are common, and some people are more accepting of mental health treatment. As a woman who has benefitted from mental health services, I appreciate the In View series for featuring mental health treatment. It's great that Larry King hosts this show!

  2. Larry King and the In View series deserve credit for discussing this subject. Violent incidents involving mentally unstable people could marginalize mental health treatment even more, but these incidents make it even more important for people to talk about mental health. Let's take mental health out of the shadows and make it more socially acceptable.

  3. It seems like mental health treatment has become more socially-acceptable. TV shows like the Sopranos kind of normalized it for some people. I felt weird talking to a therapist at first, but it's normal now. Good for the In View series and host Larry King for featuring stories like this.

  4. I work in a mental health clinic, and I see people come in all the time who are ashamed to be there. It's like they feel weak. Hopefully shows like this, the In View series, can help people realize that there's nothing wrong seeking mental health treatment. A respected host like Larry King could give the show more credibility.

  5. I recently started undergoing mental health treatment for the first time. I started seeing a counselor because of depression. She has been very helpful for me. I do not feel ashamed about it, but I don't talk about it publicly because I do not want others to judge me.

TV shows and TV figures like Larry King can hopefully take away some of the stigma associated with mental health services. Hopefully people watched the In View series and episodes like this, and mental health will become more normal.
